Special Programs & Events
* World Religion Lessons begin after a Time for All Ages and are for students of all ages and focus on the world religion of the year; introducing children to the different traditions, customs and the beliefs of that religion. Through stories, visual aids, activities and crafts the children learn about the ways of others; making connections to their own lives while recognizing and appreciating any differences as well. Lessons will be repeated on the last Wednesday of each month from 4:30-5:30
This Year’s World Religion Focus: Ancient Greek & Roman Mythology
* Social Justice workshop(s) begin at 10:30 and focus on applying UCC & UUA values, recognizing current issues/events, helping others & making a difference. The lesson(s) that take place help the children gain a better understanding of the issue/event at hand and helps them to appreciate the importance of values-theirs and those of others.
This Year’s Focus: Helping others
* Holiday Lessons begin after a Time for All Ages and are based on a specific holiday and focus on how that holiday is celebrated. Holiday Lessons may include: Advent, Hanukkah, Christmas Around the World, Easter, Passover/Seder, and more.
* Movie Nights will be held on the 1st Saturday of each month at 6pm. Movies are rated G, PG, and PG13 and all will be related to Greek & Roman Mythology. Bring Your Own: snacks and drinks!
* Other: FPCU’s History Lesson, Trunk or Treating, the Christmas Pageant Service, The Easter Egg Hunt, Affirmation, Bible Class & City Reach to name a few!
