RE Offering & Outreach
A collection basket is passed around at the start of each RE class. The RE offering is separate from the Church offering, as the RE students get to vote on where their offering goes! The offering is split 50/50, between an out-reach program and an in-reach gift for the church.
Out-reach programs have included The Heifer Organization, Lutheran Services for New Americans: Backpack Drive, Habitat for Humanity, Lowell Wish Foundation, and End 68 Hours of Hunger. In-reach gifts have included the swing and slide in the nursery room, the granite benches located out back, next to the church, and the newest addition to our sanctuary- the bench in the “Sanctuary Sensory Space.”
Your continued support is greatly appreciated!
End 68 Hours of Hunger
RE continues its efforts to Help the Hungry…
With a $500 grant from our own Outreach Committee, RE’s youth group was able to purchase 3 carriages full of food to donate to the program End 68 Hours of Hunger, in Nashua. This program supplies food to children in need to keep them fed over the weekends, when they are not receiving free breakfast & lunch at school.
