Rev. George Downey, longtime Minister at FPCU, passes away

Rev. George Downey It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Rev. George Downey’s passing.  He was a longtime minister of First Parish Church United, and was a strong pillar in Westford during his time here.  A memorial service is being planned for October 14 at 2:00pm, to be held at First Parish Church of Groton where he  became a member after moving.  In the days and weeks ahead, we will have opportunity to celebrate his legacy, mourn his loss, and reach out to each other in support and love.
